Oak Island Sporting Goods

I've been in this store about 4 times during my stay (probably with atleast 1 more coming soon). The staff has always been very helpful and knowledgeable with a good selection to choose from. I purchased a surf fishing rod/reel (which they loaded with fishing line for free), misc tackle and bait. Also purchased state fishing license. Each of the 4 people that have helped me have been very nice. Local knowledge, advice, tips and tricks were greatly appreciated. Could I have gotten some of the items on Amazon slightly cheaper? Yes, but this is a brick and mortar American small business with human interactions you can't get by clicking a mouse or big box store . Thank you for the positive shopping experiences and help.

Excellent shop with knowledgeable proprietors. Great selection. New to the area, I needed advice on a surf fishing setup. The gentleman had me set up in no time within my budget. I recommend this place highly.
